In the name of God Amen tho Sixteen day of June one thousand & seven hundred and thirty two: I, John Haseltine of the Town of Haverhill in the County of Essex in the Providence of the Massachusetts Bay in New England Carpenter - being aged but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God for it and as touching such World by Estate where with it have pleased God to bles me in this life I give Demise & dispose of the same in the following manor & form
Imprimnus [Imprimis]: I give bequoth to Mary my Deerly beloved wife the one half of my whomsted land and houseing & also I give to my wife half my paster by Nathaniel Morril & all of the land & building are in said town and are for her improvement during her widow wood and also I give to my wife all my stock and moveables to be all her disposing both within dore and without: and also I give to my wife four pounds and ten shillings in money to be paid to her every year dureing her widow wood to be paid to her - all for demand by my sons Phillip & Joseph Haseltines my son Phillip is to pay three pounds yearly and my son Joseph Haseltine thirty shilling yearly and also my two said sons are to give their mother during her widow wood three cord of wood yearly - Phillip two cord & Joseph one cord.
Item I give [and beuoth -is crossed out] to my well beloved ^son John Haseltine one hundred pounds in or of money to be paid to him by (^my son Phillip who is) my Executor at three overall payments forty pounds to be paid to him at the end of a full year after my decese and thirty pounds more at the end of two years after my decese and thirty pounds more at the end of three years after my decese.
Item I give to my well beloved son Phillip Hasseltine that peace of land where his building one which he have got a deed of and also all my land adjoyning to land of Nathan Webster and also two peices of medow the one peice is called Browd Medow and the other piece is called polloey [?] medow.
Item I also further give to my said son Phillip Haseltine and to my well beloved son Joseph Haseltine all my lands lying between hoghill road and mary [?] Creck and my son Joseph have got a deed of Gift of part of his half & he is to take his half on that five where he have built and my son Phillip is to take his half on that five where my son John my son John built when he dwelt in this town of Haverhill and I give to my said sons Phillip & Joseph Haseltine my medow cauled providence medow and hitty titty medow (^each medow) equaly to be divided between them both and I give to my sons Phillip & Joseph all my land lying between hoghill road and Ordways land except five Acres of the whomward side which I give to my son Benjamin Haseltine the said land is to be equally divided between them my said two sons Phillip and Joseph.
Item I give to my well beloved son Benjamin Haseltine all my whom sted lands and housing with severall other peices of land and medow to have the improvement of but one half dureing his mothers widow wood and after that to have the whol the porhiksuler [?] lots of land and medow and buildings and my dwelling house and barn & my land adjoyning and my wood land on the hill near whom and my medow by the widow Bradly's and my hawks medow and my picket medow and my paster land by Nathaniel [merills?] the one half of these peices of land and buildings I give the improvement of to Mary my wife during her widow wood the other half to my said son Benjamin Haseltine and after his mother decese the whole to be his I also give to my son Benja five acres of land on the whomward side of my land that lyeth between hoghill road and ordways land.
Item I give to my well beloved Daughter Marry Emerson all the _have had her portion, yet I give her twenty shillings to be paid to her six months after mine & my wife's decese, ten shillings to be paid by my son Phillip and five apeice by my sons Joseph and Benjamin
Item I give to my well beloved sons Phillip, Joseph & Benjamin my fourth & fifth divisons of land I give to my son Phillip the one half of sd divisions of land and I give to my son Joseph two thirds of the other half of sd divisons of land and I give to my son Benjamin Haseltine one sixth part of said fourth and fifth divisions of land furthermore I give to my 3 sons Phillip, Joseph & Benjamin Haseltines all my Common Rights or Commonage that I have in the whom Common in ___ Town or any other Divisions of land not all ready laid out the one half of Common Rights or Commonages I give to my sd son Phillip Haseltine two thirds of the other half to my son Joseph and the one sixth part to my son Benjamin furthermore I order and appoint my three sons Phillip, Joseph & Benjamin Haseltines to pay all my debts, logos, & funeral Charges followeth: I order my son Phillip Haseltine to pay to my son John Haseltine one hundred pounds as have been described or if my said son John die before he receive the sd one hundred pounds and leave no lawfull heir then sd hundred pounds is to be equally divided and given to my other children: furthermore I order and appoint my three sons Phillip Joseph & Benjamin Haseltine to pay all my debts, Phillip is to pay the one half and Joseph & Benjamin the other half equally between them: furthermore I hereby ordain and constitute my son Phillip Haseltine my Sole Executor to this my last will and testament
Item I give to my son Benjamin Haseltine the one half of my hus ol shef [household stuff?] that shall be left in my house after mine and my wife's decese that was not deposed of before by me nor my wife: and the other half I give to my sons Phillip and Joseph equally to be divided between them
furthermore I give to my sd son Benjamin Haseltine all my stock of creatures and husbandry tools that I and my wife shal leave not disposed of.
Willed and be ____ Rattified and Confirmed this and no other - to be my last Will and Testament in Witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal this Day and year above writeon Signed Sealed published pronounced and Declared by the said John Haseltine as his last will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers
