Genealogical research sometimes supplies us with gifts of information in places we don't really expect, but rare is it that a dream of a photo where none was thought to exist comes true. This week thanks to the efforts of the Historical Society of Cheshire County, New Hampshire (HSCC) who found a photo in their archives, myself and other descendants of Judge Larkin Baker can finally see him.
Someday I'll share my official writing entitled Descendants of the Honorable Larkin Dudley Baker (1795-1872) & Celina Cobb (1802-1852) of Westmoreland, NH, but for now it is tied up in my Board for Certification of Genealogists package which prohibits me from publishing it prior to their peer review.
In the meantime, if you can please find it in your heart & budget to donate to HSCC on behalf of Larkin Baker who served his town & county in many ways, one of which was probate judge for over 20 years, both the HSCC & I would really appreciate it. Their fee for finding the photo and emailing it to me was 10.00. Seriously, I paid them more, it just is not enough. Please be so kind as to send a check or call to offer them a small donation if you have enjoyed seeing him even half as much as I have. Clearly, they don't ask for much; 5.00 or 10.00 would be great.
Click the link below & check out the fabulous efforts they have gone to create a home for a wealth of historical documents & information on Cheshire County. I can't say enough for this organization, and absolutely cannot wait to head back to Keene for further research! http://www.hsccnh.org/
